Before you start
- Slack workspace where you can install apps
- At least one channel for Floo notifications
- Decision on what event types to subscribe to (see step 3)
Step 1. Install the Floo Slack app
From the Floo dashboard, open Integrations, then Slack, then Connect Slack workspace. The OAuth popup lists the channels Floo can post to. Pick the default channel or grant access to all public channels.
Step 2. Pick channels per event type
Different events deserve different channels. Hot lead handoffs in sales-floor, missed calls in support, compliance flags in legal. Configure once and Floo routes accordingly.
Step 3. Choose your event types
- call.booked — agent secured an appointment on the call
- call.transferred — live human handoff happened
- call.escalated — agent flagged a sensitive issue
- call.missed — voicemail dropped, follow up recommended
- campaign.completed — outbound batch finished
- compliance.flagged — disclosure missed or HIPAA-sensitive content
What a Slack message looks like
Each event posts a compact card. Caller name and number, agent name, two-sentence summary, deal value if known, action buttons (View transcript, Open in CRM, Mark resolved). Threaded replies become internal notes on the call record.
Pin the Floo app to your sidebar for quick filters. Use /floo recent to see the last 10 calls in any channel.
Removing access
Disconnect from Floo any time via the Integrations page, or revoke from the Slack admin console. Floo immediately stops posting and clears the workspace token.
